Day 3: Left Winnie, TX at 9:30 am.CDST Arrived at Holiday Inn Hill Country around 4:00 pm CDST No traffic problems and with very heavy rain till Houston, TX. Time to relax. |

Day 2: Left Moss Point at 8:00 am.CDST Near Iowa, TX around 12:00 the traffic started to slow down to a crawl The traffic soon was moving at less than 5 mph, Lake Charles was evacuating. Driving slow we need gas when we reached Vinton, TX where we found gas. We had enough gas to reach TX but it was much safer to fill in Vinton. The last 4 miles to TX took about 90 min. After we passed the TX boarder the traffic started to moved at 60 mph. After 376 miles in 15 hr we arrived in Winnie, TX at 11:00 pm CDST No traffic problems and very little rain. |
