In 1974 the University of Texas ETV Studio was moving from a small building into a new much larger facility.
At that time I worked for the company that was making all of the new vidoe switching equipment that was to
be used in the new building. I spent 6 weeks here with this installation. This photo shows the new studio building. Inside there were many studios from small to the largest that I have seen, really TEXAS sized. This was a new building and the outside of the upper third was covered with iron panels. These were designed to rust and provide a unique appearence. I wanted to see how this appeared after 46 years. Looking at it now it appears that the idea did not work as expected and now the panels are sealed and no rust is visable. Due to the Covid-19 the campus and I was not able to get inside to see how the studios had evoled of the years.
